Specification Sheet
The contractor must supply a fully completed and signed completion certificate along with the customer estimate/proposal. Please fax to (610) 433-7488 or email to the underwriter you have been working with. You can download the form below.

Step by Step Financing Process
The "Standard" Process - Driven from an Home Energy Savings Assessment
- Customer’s Home Energy Savings assessment is completed
- Customer gets estimate from an Approved Contractor for work recommended by Home Energy Solutions assessment and is informed about financing options by contractor
- Customer applies for financing on-line or by calling AFC First at (888) 232-3477.
- Conditional financing approval is issued and AFC First informs customer and contractor
- Contractor submits Specification Sheet and signed customer Proposal/Estimate to AFC
- Customer submits any required info to AFC
- AFC reviews loan approval and terms with customer and sends loan docs to customer or to contractor for delivery to customer (email or mail)
- Contractor completes work and submits customer signed completion certificate to AFC
- AFC obtains verbal confirmation from customer
- Upon satisfactory completion and receipt of signed loan docs, contractor is paid directly (ACH or check same day)
- Customer receives first monthly statement from AFC loan servicer with first payment due 30 days from date AFC payment was made to contractor
What Happens in an Emergency Situation When Home Energy Savings Assessment Has Not Yet Been Performed?
- Same process as “Standard” (Approved Contractor, improvements must qualify etc)
- Customer must have Home Energy Savings assessment completed within 2 weeks.
- Contractor will be paid upon completion of Home Energy Savings Assessment
How to Confirm Qualifying Improvements
The Approved Contractor is responsible for providing verification of qualifying equipment.

INSULATION |
Please Provide us with a Certification from the Contractor (on the customer’s contract or in a separate letter) that the house has been air sealed to Home Energy Solutions recommendations and that insulation levels meet Home Energy Solutions program guidelines.
